Lehigh Alumni and the Preservation of Bethlehem: Pioneering the Path to World Heritage Status

Lehigh alumni have made significant contributions to historic preservation efforts in Bethlehem, Pa for decades, laying the groundwork for the recent designation of the Moravian Church Settlements—Bethlehem as the first transnational World Heritage Site in the U.S.

Learn about alumni who have played key roles in preserving the city's rich architectural heritage, from research and education initiatives to the preservation and restoration of iconic historic sites. This presentation highlights various alumni-led projects, demonstrating a commitment to maintaining Bethlehem's unique character while balancing growth and development that is evident in the city to this day.

Impact Fellowship Student Projects Showcase

In 2024, the Mountaintop Summer Experience moved to Lehigh's newly acquired St. Peter's Church building at 472 Vine, in the heart of the Asa Packer campus. As the first to use this space, the Office of Creative Inquiry aims to establish it as a vibrant hub for student resources, high-impact programs, and signature projects. During Reunion 2025, over 100 Lehigh students, along with students from around the world, will work on impact-focused, faculty-mentored projects through the Mountaintop program. We invite you to visit the building, explore its potential, and meet these incredible students working on social impact ventures.
