Compelling Perspectives featuring Marty Baron '76 '76G '14H
We are pleased to welcome back to campus Marty Baron '76 '76G '14H, former editor in chief of The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, and The Miami Herald and a former senior editor of The New York Times and the Los Angeles Times, as the second speaker in this year’s Compelling Perspectives program. This year’s theme is the role of media in contemporary society. The perspective of this event will explore traditional media as an ongoing source of information following the results of November's U.S. presidential election. Baron will also discuss the challenges in competing with non-traditional media sources and the spread of mis- and disinformation.
You are invited to join us for this discussion on December 5, moderated by President Joseph J. Helble ’82.
Space is limited and advance registration is required for this event.
